Matthew D Edwards, Senior Technical and Business Consultant

Mr. Edwards currently works as an international speaker, trainer, author, researcher and consultant focusing on making entire organizations achieve their maximum potential through the application of some of today's most current technology, business and operational management techniques. Prior to this, Mr. Edwards held the position of consultant Chief Operations Officer for AppCore Technology (Zimbabwe), a cloud-computing & business optimization technology engineering firm. Matthew's responsibilities included designing & setting up operations and infrastructure for international branches of the company, operational/supply chain optimization, leading and teaching companies to deliver technical product and service to market through smart technical solutioning.

Concurrent to this, Mr. Edwards held the position of consultant Chief Operations Officer for Big Africa Pvt Ltd (Zimbabwe), Africa's first whole-continent online business and trade directory. Mr. Edwards' responsibilities included designing and setting up operations and infrastructure for the business and trade directory, as well as, defining and implementing operational processes to build the primary database assets.

Prior to this, Mr. Edwards was the Chief Information Officer of GeoLearning, an e-learning software engineering firm. Mr. Edwards' responsibilities included end-to-end successful delivery of GeoLearning's technology solutions, including software development, technical services, and system architecture and administration.

Prior to joining GeoLearning, Mr. Edwards was the managing partner and co-founder of a software consulting firm focused on moving product to market using Agile frameworks. He has worked for start-ups to Fortune 50 companies including Computer Sciences Corporation, Motorola and Nationwide in various leadership capacities where he had responsibility for quality engineering practices such as software systems development, testing, configuration and change management; systems lifecycle process definition, development, documentation, communication, measurement and audit; and customer, vendor and employee education and measurement.

Mr. Edwards holds certifications from the Quality Assurance Institute Worldwide in Software Testing (CSTE) and Software Quality Analysis (CSQA), Certified Configuration Manager (CMIIC) from the Institute of Configuration Management, is a Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), and completed his Master's degree in Diplomacy from Norwich University. Additionally, Matthew is a member of the ACM, Agile Alliance, Scrum Alliance, IEEE and is an internationally published author and speaker.
